Eighth grade students visit high school for open house

Westside High School hosted an open house on Jan. 16 for eighth graders and perspective highschoolers who are going to WHS next school year.

During the event, kids could learn about modular scheduling, where every day of the week is different and there are independent study times within the school day. Tours were given to show the different departments and classrooms.

“I used to think the high school was small and, after I went, I realized it was much larger,” said Nishi Singh, an eighth-grader on 8C.

“I didn’t realize how many opportunities there were,” said Elise Boettcher.
